Associated Partners:

1) SBRB - Schools beyond Regions and Borders is a European-wide project aimed at developing conscious civic and citizenship competence among secondary school students to encourage them to become active change‑makers in their communities and wider society. After a pilot phase in 2020, the project was officially launched in February 2021 as a spin-off of the MoSE project of the University of Trento, with the support of the Regione Trentino-Alto Adige/Südtirol, and Fondazione Bruno Kessler. The first project phase saw the participation of schools based in Austria, Germany and Italy. Over the lifetime of the project, other countries gradually joined the network, including Ireland, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Spain and France, for a total of 7 EU and non-EU nations. The project currently relies on a network of 18 schools. SBRB aims to promote interaction and mutual understanding among European secondary school pupils and teachers by exchanging knowledge and best practices in education for active citizenship. This aim is achieved through year-long teaching modules based on one or more thematic areas which are explored in monthly online seminars addressing the students of the network, alongside interactive classroom activities. The project also offers residential workshops and/or mobility opportunities for students within the network, as illustrated in this video produced after a three-day-workshop.

2) YPAC - The Youth Parliament to the Alpine Convention is a network of schools founded in 2006 to bring together young people from different Alpine countries and areas to discuss current topics regarding the Alpine region in a parliamentary simulation. The network aims at giving insights into parliamentary structures as well as current topics which are of concern to the Alpine region. It is also a platform for cultural exchange and networking among young people. Thanks to the collaboration with YPAC, GrACE will be able to reach out to an international network of secondary teachers who specialize in scientific subjects, i.e. Biology, Chemistry, Natural Sciences, etc. and are therefore particularly interested in acquiring in-sights in environmental and climate change-related focus areas.

3) IPRASE - The Provincial Institute for Educational Research and Experimentation is an agency of the Province of Trento and its mission is to promote and implement actions aimed at research, experimentation and documentation of educational and training issues and initiatives to support educational innovation and school autonomy. IPRASE enacts cooperations and agreements with entities operating in the field of educational research both nationally and internationally, also in agreement with the Italian Ministry of Education, Ministry of University and Research and with the Agencies linked to them. Its existing network will ensure the visibility of GrACE initiatives among teachers and school principals in Italy, including them among the officially credited refreshment courses for in-service teachers, which Italian teachers are required to attend on a yearly basis.

4) ANFIS - The National Association of trainers, teachers and supervisors is an Italian professional association of school teachers with certified skills in the field of training, supervision of teacher training processes or/and didactic research in the educational sector. ANFIS is the first association representative of teacher trainers in Italy and has been recognized as a qualified organization for pre-service and in-service teacher professional development by the Ministry of Education since 2010. The professional community of ANFIS is engaged on various fronts for highly qualified teacher education, firmly rooted in an integrated school-university system, where the internship experience at school plays a fundamental role for the formation of future teachers. Its existing network will ensure the visibility of GrACE initiatives among teachers and teacher trainers in Italy.

5) Fondazione Opera Campana dei caduti
This Foundation, based on the outskirts of Trento, hosts the largest swinging bell in the world, which is cast with the bronze of the  First World War cannons and every day commemorates the Dead of the Great War. Its MEMORANDUM OF PEACE is officially endorsed by more than 100 countries. Grounding on our successful cooperation for the MoSE final event (in which more than 300 people participated), we will jointly plan and carry out the final high visibility event, to be held in the picturesque setting of the Fondazione, possibly on Europe Day.

6) Fondazione de Gasperi.
This Foundation is based in the house where Alcide de Gasperi, one of the founding fathers of the European Union, was born. It promotes active citizenship and the diffusion of knowledge on international and EU institutions in secondary schools and among the general public. It will collaborate with GrACE for the organisation of the first residency, co-organising and hosting a workshop.
