EUDEV aims at providing an EU perspective on the study of global governance and an introduction to major topics of international development under discussion within multilateral organizations.
It adopts a “project method” teaching approach, combining a cooperative policy writing exercise and a simulation of a decision-making process within the EU. By the end of the course, students will present their policy reports in a seminar, which will also involve participation of NGOs.
Empirical data collected throughout the module will be used for research purposes and will lead to a book on EU development cooperation and global governance.
The module mainly targets undergraduate students but is also open to a limited number of Master's students.
EUDEV Module was suspended for the a.y. 2016/2017 due to Professor Sicurelli's maternity leave and extended until 28/02/2018.
